about the business
What goes on our body is equally important as what goes in. So, I select ingredients that are natural and as close to mother nature as possible. I make everything by hand and mix in all sorts of nourishing oils and plant-based goodies to make showers and bath time a relaxing, luxurious respite.
I also have a "no nonsense" approach when it comes to designing and making products which means: no palm oil, no sulfates,no parabens, no petroleum products, no artificial colors, no phthalates, no synthetic hardeners, no synthetic surfactants, no PEGs, no soy, no gluten and no animal testing (except perhaps on my three dogs Bear the Cane Corso, Pepper the Mutt and Truffles the Morkie).
about the maker
It all started with stumbling on a passion and then of course a lot of hard work. Becoming a soapmaker was never on my radar. I grew up with humble means (my father passed away when I was nine which pretty much left our family broke) I received an engineering degree from Princeton, got an MBA from University of Michigan, have worked in the corporate world as a marketer for many many years. Before going to business school I seriously considered attending culinary school instead to become a pastry chef. It was my dream to own my own bakeshop. My best guess is that I googled something, discovered the loveliness of cold-process soapmaking and it's been non-stop ever since!
It's not an exaggeration when I tell you I believe God put the pieces together and I just stepped in. Making soap and just making things in general makes me happy and actually brings me great joy - yup it sure does! It's also a privilege to make and provide good for you bath and body products. My goal is to make you feel beautiful from the inside out!
"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11
